My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Newest update: March 2016 - You will want to check out her video, and her radio interview!

Zoe is a survivor! She was found in a rural area of Arkansas by a good Samaritan. Our rescue partners took her in and she was in bad shape, emaciated with demodex and a damaged eye. Their vets have helped get her healthy and she is the sweetest girl! She has one eye that is non-functional; the docs said to leave it because it doesn’t bother her. Zoe doesn’t mind and she could not be happier. She is an absolute doll – no one is a stranger to Zoe! She is about 10 months old as of early March and weighs about 35 lbs but still needs to put on more weight.

Zoe is in foster with another female dog and doing great, and is exploring the streets of Portland already. She is a darling. She is not a super big fan of the cold weather so she insists her new family take her shopping for a stylish sweater.

Zoe goes to doggy day care and loves it, and she is a world-class snuggler! She also had her radio debut recently and met a whole new fan club at WCLZ! Listen here: http://989wclz.com/pet-of-the-week/zoe-from-lucky-pup-rescue/

To learn more about Lucky Pup Rescue, please visit our website: www.luckypuprescue.org. If you have interest in any of our dogs, please fill out the application and we'll work with you to find a great match for your family: http://www.luckypuprescue.org/#!adoption-application/c1aw8.

Please note, we do not have a physical facility where our dogs are housed, they are cared for in our network of wonderful foster homes throughout New England. If you find a dog you would like to meet, our expectation is that, once approved, you will travel to meet the dog in the foster setting where they are feeling safe and loved.

Thank you for considering rescue!
