My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Nice to meet you, I'm Amber Leigh!

I am the most awesome, gorgeous girl ever. I am 4-5 years old, great on a leash and super smart. I am fantastic with children. They didn't call us "Nanny dogs" for nothing! I absolutely love to be around humans. I may look muscular and stocky, weighing 50 lbs, but I am a low-rider and a softy at heart.

I guard my food around other dogs, so it would be best for me to be the only dog, but I've NEVER shown any aggression towards humans, even with my food. I allow any human to touch my food and/or bones without any issue whatsoever. I would really love to have by belly rubbed and I LOVE to cuddle! Can't you see me on your bed or on your couch watching late night movies or sports? I CAN! So, what are you waiting for?! Apply for me today!

I am spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, kept on intestinal parasite and heartworm preventative, and microchipped, all of which is covered under my adoption fee of $85.00.

Please visit www.RuralAnimalRescueEffort.org for foster and adoption applications or for additional information. If you have any trouble, please email us at RuralAnimalRescueEffort@gmail.com

Please allow us at least 24 hours to respond, as we are a volunteer based organization with full time jobs in addition to rescue. If you do not hear from us within 72 hours, please feel free to email us at RuralAnimalRescueEffort@gmail.com to inquire on the status of your application.

**An application and home visit are required. Transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes. Please ask us for more information if you are not in Tennessee**

**All of our pets are or will be spayed/neutered, up to date on all vaccines and micro-chipped prior to adoption. Please complete the application on our website and we will call you to answer any questions you may have.**

Our adoption fees not only help the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heart-worm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need to be made available for adoption.

Thank you for choosing to adopt, foster, or aid in the rescue efforts of RARE!
