Claire - ADOPTED's Story...

Gorgeous 3 year old Claire survived a puppy mill and is now ready to find her forever home. Could it be with you? She's a very sweet girl who is a bit shy at first, but she LOVES to be stroked and petted and will give kisses once she knows you. Claire gets along great with the other dogs in her foster home as well as the resident cat. She also enthusiastically joins the other dogs as they go outside to potty, and so we expect that in her forever home she will complete her housetraining once she has adapted to the household's routine.

Claire is spayed, has had a dental cleaning, is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative and microchipped.

ADOPTION FEE: $300

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Claire - ADOPTED, a Tallahassee Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Tallahassee, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Tallahassee.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Tallahassee already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Tallahassee breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Tallahassee paves the way for another one to be saved.
