Marsha's Story...
Say hello to Marsha. This five-year-old Shih-Tzu/Lhasa mix (our best guess) is such a good girl! Marsha has been wonderful with every person (kids included) she’s met and has met numerous dogs of all shapes and sizes (she is being fostered with three right now) and has done fabulously with all. She has impeccable house manners and is a very good girl in her crate. Marsha loves to play, but is past the crazy puppy years and is happy to curl up and go to sleep while watching TV on the couch at night. She will make someone a wonderful life companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marsha, a Newtown Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso for sale in Newtown, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Newtown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newtown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newtown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newtown paves the way for another one to be saved.
