My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Dani and I have been waiting for someone, anyone really, to restore my faith in people. But things just keep happening that make me doubt their kindness, compassion and intelligence. Ugh. First I was adopted from a county shelter (who shall remain unnamed), was microchipped there, but whomever they allowed to adopt me never registered the chip number. So when I was found wandering the streets of SE GR in the dead of winter, no owner could be contacted to even find out if I was lost, or abandoned. Fortunately, FOF took me in.

Since then, it has been a merry go round of cages, rooms within this shelter, and harrowing trips to PetSmart. I was even adopted once but their kids kind of annoyed me, so I only came out after the kids went to bed. The adult people did not like that, even though I was SUPER into attention from them. So they brought me back.

Then these morons here at FOF thought I could get adopted from PetSmart because their store has a lot of traffic. And supposedly many a cat who has waited for months at the shelter, goes to PetSmart and is placed within weeks! Whatever. Didn't work for me. I hated it there. I tried to tell them but sometimes people don't listen. Thank the cat God that my time was up so I was able to come back to the shelter. What a relief. I saw a note on my folder that said 'Not a candidate for PetSmart', so maybe someone finally realized it's not for everyone. Duh.

What I would like is a home with mature adults, intelligent conversation, and no drama. Is that really too much to ask? I am fine with other cats too. My life has been in turmoil for far too long. I want someone to love. These people here are OK, but perhaps not the brightest crayons in the box, as evidenced by their less than wise handling of me, so I am not entirely sure they can find me the home I need. I don't see any degrees on the wall, so this place might just be run by a bunch of fools who think they know cats. Can you help me please by sharing?
