Trixie's Info...

I am already spayed, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Trixie's Story...
Little Trixie is a 6lb puppy mill rescue. She spent her entire life locked in a cage being bred repeatedly. She now has some issues because of that. She is still terrified of humans and will need specialized attention and lots of patience and know-how to help her learn to trust and just be a normal dog. An adopter with experience with puppy mill dogs is highly preferred. Trixie will run and hide from humans and doesn't like being held yet. She has never shown any signs of aggression and will not bite or growl but shows great fear. She has recently been put on medication in hopes of calming her down for rehab. She would do well in a home without a lot of people around and with someone who has the time and patience to work with her. She will come to you fully vetted, spayed, micro-chipped and current on shots. Her adoption fee is $180. The adoption application can be found at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Trixie, a Westfield Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Westfield, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Westfield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Westfield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Westfield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Westfield paves the way for another one to be saved.
