Nate's Story...
NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. Meet this little guy at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carslbad, CA 92011.

My name is Nate and I am a neutered white Jack Russell/Terrier mix. I am almost a year and a half old and I weigh just over 17 pounds.

I have been told I am a sweet boy. I love to take my treats from you with a gentle mouth. I also love to chase a ball and play. While I like to scamper about and play, I also enjoy sitting quietly in your lap. I am housetrained.

I love company, so I would prefer a home where someone is there a good portion of the day. I get lonely and cry if I am left alone too long. I want your company!

Please come and meet me at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services, 2481 Palomar Airport Road, Carlsbad 92011. Open Tuesdays - Saturdays, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm. Closed Sundays, Mondays and holidays. Bring these numbers with you for identification: ID: A1696562; Tag: N605. I am looking forward to your visit!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nate, a Vista Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Vista, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Vista.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Vista already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Vista breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Vista paves the way for another one to be saved.
