Here's what the humans have to say about me:
4/27/16 - I'VE BEEN ADOPTED!
Adoption Fee: $350
Fostered in Texas
Age: 4.5 years
Weight: 7.6 lbs.
4/6/16 - I guess you can say that I’m a little naive. I really thought that my previous family meant it when they said they loved me and wanted me to be with them forever. And, I really thought “Forever” was a lot longer than they proved it to be. At least my owners had the decency to surrender me to a vet clinic. I also lucked out as the vet clinic I was surrendered to called a client of theirs who volunteered with Yorkie Haven Rescue. So now my motto is, “If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again”. So that’s what I’m doing.
I seemed to have some allergies issues when I first got here and my skin was very irritated, dry and my hair was very brittle. That is all cleared up now and I seem to be doing fine.
I am very playful with toys and other dogs, and would enjoy another dog to play with. I sleep great in the big person bed cuddled up. I have a very healthy appetite and eat all my food at breakfast and dinner time.
I have gotten much better with my potty habits and when no one is home I am in the master bedroom which has a doggy door that leads to the secure fenced in yard. Now, I am sure that when I change homes again, there will be mistakes until you get me on your schedule. So be prepared to clean up some mistakes.
I absolutely love people, all people. I am a snuggle bug and crave attention from my humans. I like to give kisses and sit in my human’s lap. I enjoy my backyard, so will need a home with a fenced backyard. I love to bark and chase the squirrels, birds and anything that moves. A townhome or condo, even with a fenced yard, would not be good for me as I can be a talker. And my bark has sometimes scared my foster mom since if I get extremely excited I sound as if I am hurt. Lol
I am not a cocky dog toward other animals, but will stand my ground if another dog becomes aggressive toward me. I have some springy legs and can jump up onto the sofa with ease.
Since I have such a high excitement for squirrels and birds and gets distracted easily, I’m considered to be a flight risk. No ajar doors around this inquisitive fellow. Cats aren’t a good idea either.
I know I’m young, and only a dog, but when I say I’ll love you forever, I mean until one of leaves this earth. Wanna give me a home?
