Timmy's Story...
So there I was in a feral colony and I'm a very friendly cat. When the caretaker came to feed I walked right up with my tail in the air. Next thing I knew I went to vet and came home to my foster home. I love being in a home. I like sleepieng on soft beds, purring, being petted and just feeling happy to be safe. I know there are other cats here and I'm waiting to meet them. I think I'd do best with a young cat who is cat friendly. I haven't met any dogs yet but I'm an easygoing cat so we might be fine together if the dog is cat friendly.

I'm negative for FeLV AND FIV.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Timmy, a New Port Richey Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New Port Richey, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in New Port Richey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Port Richey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Port Richey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Port Richey paves the way for another one to be saved.
