Austen & La Nina's Story...

These two fun little gals can be your new best friends!  Austen and La Nina are not siblings but became little partners in crime upon being rescued and placed in the same foster home. La Nina is the little black girl and Austen is the white and gray patch tabby.  They both love to play and cuddle, though La Nina can be a bit of the shier one when she meets new people. Stop by Petco at 92nd & Broadway on Saturdays between 2-6pm to meet this precious duo!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austen & La Nina, a New York Domestic Mediumhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair cat from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
