Simon is a beautiful, F2B mini Goldendoodle who is looking for the perfect forever home to call his own. He was purchased from a reputable breeder and all of his paperwork will be provided upon adoption. He is 4.5 years old (born July 9, 2011) and weighs 25 lbs. and does not shed. He is a very playful boy and will play ball for hours if given the opportunity. He also is an excellent cuddler and loves to snuggle.
Simon knows the basic commands - sit, down, paw, heel, and "bang.” He also knows up, come and off although he does have selective hearing when it comes to those commands… Daily hikes, runs and long walks would make this adorable guy very happy. He is social with dogs and does great at doggy day care and loves to play.
Simon’s issue, and the reason why he needs a new home, is that he is not good with children he does not know. Once he is introduced to a child he is tolerant, but since he is reactive with new children he should not go to a home with younger kids. He has never showed any sort of reactive behavior to any adult person and is great with the kids in his own family. But typical “kids homes” will have their friends come over, who are also kids, and would represent kids that Simon does not know. With proper training, this issue is very likely to be resolved as he is a very friendly dog, however, he will not be adopted to a home with young children at this point.
Simon is a very healthy dog other than some minor skin allergies but responds well to medication, so he looks fantastic. He is neutered, and is up-to-date on shots.
