When we told people at a recent adoption day that JP is 8, they assumed we meant 8 months. This handsome brindle Boxer turned 8 years young in January but don’t tell him, he thinks he’s still a pup! JP is a happy dog with a wonderful temperament. He loves everyone he meets, and is excellent with children and other dogs. As a bonus, he is also very compatible with cats, a most desirable trait. JP was used to living on a farmette, so he will need a suburban or country home, no apartments or condos. At 67 pounds, JP is a good-sized Boxer due to his German lineage. He can pull a bit on leash, but it depends on who is at the other end as he responds quickly to gentle correction. JP is a most pleasant passenger in the car, so road trips with this guy will be a breeze! JP was a much loved family pet whose care was reluctantly handed over to Kiko due to unavoidable life circumstances. Don’t let the photo fool you – he definitely settles well in the house but he’s no couch potato! He will make a fabulous companion for an active family or young retiree where he can get lots of exercise and love.
