Meet Sheba! Sheba is a one year old medium sized Pit Bull Terrier mix. She is white with fawn colored markings. Sheba came to us from the South LA Shelter where she was surrendered because her owner became ill and could no longer care for her. Sheba was definitely very loved and cared for by her previous owner as she is obedient and loves people. Sheba has excellent leash skills; she does not pull at all but walks nicely by your side and follows your lead. Sheba is learning to socialize with dogs at the Downtown Dog Rescue kennel. She is a little insecure due to being in heat, then spayed, but she is gaining confidence in herself daily and learning to trust dogs again. Sheba lives with her foster mom during the week. Her foster says she has a calming effect about her and could possibly be a therapy dog. She is very sweet and gentle with children and enjoys being around them. Sheba likes dogs but prefers not to engage in play. Sheba loves to run around the play yard, bathe in the sunshine and sit by your side. She is also learning to play tennis with her foster mom! If you would like to open your home to this deserving girl please come meet her!
