My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dudley who is obviously Studdly! Dudley is approx., one years old give or take a few months one way or the other. He weights over 85 pounds, HW negative, up-to-date and neutered.
Dudley is still very puppy-like; very curious and unsure of his surroundings. He has a sweet disposition and personality with no aggression towards people or other dogs. He is still unsure of people and isn’t quick to ask for affection, but will stand still to be brushed and you can get a pet in or two, so building trust is important. :) He definitely requires obedience training and needs to learn manners like not to jump up being as big as he is. He does know some the cues like "sit" and is treat motivated.
He does enjoy being in the house to be with you, but also likes running around in a fenced in yard, sniffing everything out and exploring. We believe a LARGE, FENCED yard will be key for Dudley since he likes to play fetch and needs the room to run off his puppy energy. Dudley also likes toys and enjoys dragging them around to play with. Dudley does not understand how to get into a car, but does great riding. He did great at the vet clinic and allowed the vet to do what was required of him.
He is not happy at all with wearing a collar or leash, so he definitely needs work on a leash. We highly recommend someone who knows how to train a dog or someone willing to take training classes, but in the end Dudley will make someone awfully proud. We do believe someone may have kept this poor fellow tied up all the time at some point because he will run from you if he sees you coming at him with a leash and isn’t fond of a collar. He does pull badly and is very strong, so he will definitely need the proper harness and leash training.
Dudley needs a forever home that has a large fenced in yard with plenty of room to roam, someone that has experience with Labradors or large dogs that are still puppy like. Dudley needs someone that is willing to work with him, provide plenty of exercise, train and teach him manners. We don’t recommend a household with small children even though he is a sweetheart he can knock over anyone unintentionally. Dudley doesn’t know his own strength or he that he isn’t a puppy!
