Here's what the humans have to say about me:
I absolutely hate to do this but our 12 year old Penny that we adopted a few years ago has nipped my 1 year old niece in the face for the second time (provoked by ear pulling) in two months. We have a baby due in about a month and have come to the unpleasant conclusion that we are going to have to find a new home for her.
We think she is mostly Parson Russell Terrier. She is perfectly housebroken, nondestructive, and an excellent dog in general who loves to fetch and be petted constantly. NO real health issues (occasional allergies) and vet says she is in remarkable condition for her age. She is up to date on shots, spayed, on HW/ Flea preventative. She does have some cataracts forming.
She does well with other dogs (we have a 9 YR old female JRT and zero issues, they play together all the time) and does fine when she is boarded. She understands what furniture she is allowed on and where she is not, doesn't beg at the table, and seems to understand instructions pretty well.
Penny has been my shadow and constant companion since the day we got her and I worry that she will be somewhat lost for a while as she does have some anxiety (moping and whining) anytime I leave without her. She's not great on a leash and she will run away thinking it's a game, so a fenced yard is a necessity.
I can provide supplies to get her started (her bed, flea preventative, leashes, etc) and do not want any money or compensation----I do want to make certain she goes to a kind, loving home and will be very particular about that. She really is an incredibly sweet and fun dog.
