Here's what the humans have to say about me:
The Reverend Doctor came to Tree House Humane Society in January of 2016. If you are looking for a sweet, handsome, gentle bear cat this is your man. His personality is hard to beat. He is outgoing, super playful, and curious. He loves to snuggle on laps and roll over for belly scratches. The Reverend Doctor is FIV+ and is awaiting his forever home in our Cypress Colony. Before his admission, the foster had The Reverend in her home close to a year and she mentioned he got along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and children. The Reverend Doctor was presumably outside for quite some time due to scabs on his back, neck, and head. He deserves a loving, forever home with a family that will spoil him silly!
*Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) causes a weakening of the immune system in cats. It's often compared to human HIV, but FIV is not transferable to humans or other species. It is also difficult to transfer to other sterilized cats, and we believe that mixed FIV and non-FIV households can work if managed properly. If kept indoors in a stress-free environment, with regular medical care and high-quality nutrition, most FIV+ cats live long and healthy lives. Tree House staff can help answer your questions to see if an FIV+ cat is the right choice for you. FIV+ cats adopted from Tree House are eligible for a lifetime veterinary-care plan that includes a free annual exam and discounted treatments.
