Pony Boy has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!


Pony Boy is about 2 years old and weighs around 9 lbs. He and his brother Bipo lost their beloved human dad after a long illness. Pony Boy is a sweet little love muffin once he gets to know you, though he will be a bit skittish in the first few days. After that, watch out! He will be in your lap for loving, wanting to Watch TV with you at night, especially! Pony loves to play with balls and squeaky toys. He's a hunter (so you'll need to warn your squirrels and yard varmints) and would be best in a home without a cat. He loves to run around in the yard, play tug, go for walks, play tag with his friends, go for car rides, lay in a hammock in the summer or sunbathe on a blanket. He gives kisses when asked and will go into his crate when asked. He is a bit skittish of fast-moving people so he will not be placed with young kids. Children over 15 would be fine. He loves Nylabones and marrow bones; both keep his teeth clean. Pony Boy can be a runner so a fenced yard is a must for this little guy, though he would not be trustworthy with an electric fence. He is a bit of an alpha dog, but does love other dogs, especially female dogs. You'll fall for this little guy who just wants a place to call home.
