Here's what the humans have to say about me:
An adoption application on CLYDE can be found at the following link: http://wp.me/P73YMd-1h
Please email the completed application to weatherley.woofriver@gmail.com.
Please submit an application AND do NOT also contact the shelter. You will be contacting both the adoption coordinator and the marketing director, who do not see each other's emails. This causes confusion.
I am CLYDE and I am pretty close to perfect if I do say so myself. I'm just over a year old and about 55 lbs...have I mentioned how devastatingly handsome I am? Check out my super cool blue eye. I love other dogs. It doesn't matter to me if they are big or small, boys or girls, I can hang with everybody! I think children are wonderful too. I really like to snuggle on the couch with them; I could seriously do that all day. Cats are a different story. I am NOT a fan and do not want to share my home with any felines. My foster parents say I have flawless house manners. I'm not sure what that means; I just do what comes naturally. I love to be around my people! I am content to lay in a doggie bed and chew a bone or play with a toy while they work or cook dinner. I also LOVE car rides and am up for a trip to anywhere. I thoroughly enjoy romping in the yard with other pups or people, but I'm not a hyper dog. I wasn't crazy about the Easter bunny costume, but I let them dress me up without protesting because it seemed to make the humans happy. Like I said, I'm pretty much perfect. Every single person who has met me agrees. I just know my forever family will too!
CLYDE is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to New England.

All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com) and The Road Home Pet Transport for our Midwest adopters (https://www.facebook.com/roadhomepettransport).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
