I’m Max, and I’m the WORLD’S BEST SNUGGLER! My foster mommy gave me that title….when my foster mommy or daddy sits on the couch, they get out a blankie, and I come running! I can almost make it on the couch myself now, and I will get in that blankie and just love on them to pieces. That’s my favorite place to nap, on my person and my blankie. I really like other dogs, so if you have them, that’s great. If not, I am super good with being the only pup getting your love. Trust me, you will enjoy getting mine too. As of 2/22/16, I’m 11 weeks old and 19 pounds. I have tall ears and a HUGE personality. I may be 50-60 pounds grown up. I am seriously so much fun. Is it ok to brag on yourself? I’m the smartest puppy I know...Like really smart. I know sit, how to hit the doggy bells to signal to go outside, my name, what outside and inside mean, and so much more. My new fun game is fetch! I am totally crate trained and do not potty in my crate when left for normal periods of time. I can even make it all night now.
I have fur that is called brindle, but I think it makes me look like a tiger. I have soulful eyes, and listen intently to everything you say. I want to please my person more than anything in the whole wide world. Do you need a snuggle buddy? If the answer is yes, fill out an application for me, because I'm your guy!
MAX is neutered, microchipped and up to date on all vaccinations.
His $450 adoption fee includes interstate health certificate and transport to New England.

All of our dogs start their journey in Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, they travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Alpha Dog Pet Transport for our New England, Nashville, and Knoxville adoptions (https://alphadogtransport.com).
Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff.
Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. We want to spend our time saving dogs and assisting those adopters who have taken the time to complete an application. Thank you for understanding.
