Olivia Newton John*Adopted's Story...

Adoption Donation:  $200.00

Olivia has been thru a lot in her short life.  Her owner died, so SCMR is going to help her find her new forever home.  Olivia is 5 years old and weighs about 6 pounds.  She appears to be housetrained and fits in nicely with her foster siblings.

This cutie does well in the car, loves to be held and sleeps thru the night without a peep.  She does have a 'cherry eye, so SCMR is looking into how to best help her with that, and she also needs to get spayed and have her dental, so it will be a short while until she is ready for adoption.

If interested in adopting this sweet little girl, please fill out an application.  Until then she will be enjoying the great Florida weather in Gainesville, FL

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olivia Newton John*Adopted, a Gainesville Maltese dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese for sale in Gainesville, or seeking a Maltese dog from a breeder in Gainesville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gainesville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gainesville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese breeders who help with Maltese rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gainesville paves the way for another one to be saved.
