My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Carlton is a very sweet little boy, and at just 2 years old, he is ready to explore our great big world.  He is a most likely a mix with a terrier, weighing about 12 pounds.  He is a super friendly little boy making friends with his foster siblings but would do better as an only furchild so that he can have all the attention and love he so deserves.

 
Carlton has heartworms that we are currently treating; he is on his second round of doxycycline for the microfilariae that he has in his bloodstream.  When those are gone, he can then be given immiticide.   This process is taking a bit longer than expected; once he is well, he will then be ready for adoption.

 

 
Carlton was saved by some very nice people in Mississippi, but when they first got him, he was so badly matted they had to shave about 2.5 pounds of mats from his little body!

 

 
Carllton does very well with being in a crate or x-pen, and is working on his house manners.
