Bahamas's Story...
Bahamas #4267 is an adorable 8-week-old male Shepherd mix. He is a typical sweet and playful puppy. He is a super sweet and loving lap dog. He will play for short periods of time and then likes to nap. He lives for human attention and could snuggle for hours. He is very patient and didn't mind his toddler human foster brothers carrying him around. His foster mom reports he always looks for the newspaper or puppy pad when having to potty and very rarely has an accident on the floor. Bahamas is good with other dogs. While this pup came in as a shepherd mix, it appears after two weeks of observation that this pup may be smaller full grown. We are working on crate training and socialization. Just like any puppy, this pup will need a loving home with an adopter that has the time to commit to continued puppy training to assist with house, leash and obedience training. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption form, downloadable from our website: http://www.lastchanceanimalrescue.org/adoptus.html and return it per instructions. Email dogs@lastchanceanimalrescue.org with questions. This pup should be available for adoption on Saturday, Feb. 27. Stay tuned to our Facebook page for adoption event locations and updates: www.facebook.com/lcarmd.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bahamas, a Waldorf Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Waldorf, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Waldorf.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Waldorf already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Waldorf breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Waldorf paves the way for another one to be saved.
