Ginger has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

ResQ would love to find an active home for Ginger, because this little girl can fly! She is a go-getter who needs someone who will throw a tennis ball for her during the day and snuggle with her at night. She has long legs and prances when she runs. This beautiful girl was pulled from a Texas shelter when her time ran out. She should be about 15 pounds when at a healthy weight, and she is about 2 years old, if not a little younger. She is a bit of an alpha female, but gets along with the other 9 dogs in her fosterhome. She is crate trained and house trained, and extremely affectionate. Ginger needs someone to cling to, that's all. Could that someone be you?

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gingy, a Winston-Salem Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
