ADOPTED! Rudy's Story...
This dog's fosterhome is located in: ****Fresno, California**** Rudy has been adopted! -- Please look at our other Rat Terriers awaiting homes!

Isn’t Rudy the cutest? He is a 12 week old Rat Terrier mix (born December 7, 2009). We say mix because we know his mom was a Rat Terrier but we can only guess that daddy was an ACD/Blue Heeler. Rudy is about 11lbs with the most gorgeous green eyes you’ll ever see. Rudy is a smart pup! He has learned to sit and learning his house training manners quickly. As long as he is kept on a schedule and taken out often he does well. He knows what he has to do when we go outside. He is crate trained and will mostly sleep through the night. Every once in a while he will need to go outside to do his business. Just like most puppies, Rudy is playful and curious; unlike most puppies, he listens well. Rudy would be fine with cats and kids and other dogs. You have to see more pictures of this breathtaking boy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

ADOPTED! Rudy, a Winston-Salem Rat Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Winston-Salem, or seeking a Rat Terrier puppy from a breeder in Winston-Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Winston-Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Winston-Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Winston-Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
