Sandy's Story...
You know Sandy, Annie's perfect pet pooch from the musical? This is definitely her model! Our Sandy is a one year old Retriever/Hound mix who is very petite at 25 pounds. Sandy is beautiful - she looks like a Field and Stream cover girl - and she has the mellow, easygoing, friendly, tolerant temperament to boot! Sandy came to ACL from a high-volume shelter in Oklahoma that was having trouble finding her a happy ending. Here at ACL, we know that happiness is right around the corner! Sandy is great with other dogs big and small, children of all ages, and she'll probably be good with kitties, too! Sandy is an ideal family dog, and we know she'd love to be part of a big, loving family. Sandy is a dream girl!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sandy, a Oak Park Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) for sale in Oak Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Oak Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Oak Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Oak Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Hound (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Oak Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
