Amy's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Amy's Story...
What can we say about this girl? She is just a wonderful, friendly, affectionate, loyal and great companion. There isn't anyone she isn't happy to meet including people of all ages, other dogs, cats, etc.

Her foster mom took her on a 700 km trip and she was an excellent travelling companion. She is a German Boxer which means she is shorter and a little heavier set then her American cousins. She is just over a year old and had been bred in her former home but can now leave all that behind her.

This is truly a lovely dog but she is still in need of some obedience training. She is a purebred Boxer and true to the Boxer personality making her very eager to please and with consistency and praise she will continue on and become an excellent companion. She is also a "wiggle butt", can be very fun and is very affectionate with everyone. She is also a very pretty girl.

Amy will make an excellent family pet and would be great for someone that would enjoy taking her to obedience classes. She is clean in the home, but still has some chewing tendencies when left on her own for too long but other than that she is well behaved and a lovely pet.

This will be a hard one for her foster mom to let go!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Amy, a Hamilton Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
