Ingrid's Story...
I would do anything for love…I’d run right into the pound and back. And I would do anything for love, anything you have been dreaming of.....you know what I have been dreaming of? A home of my own. I bet that you have been dreaming of a wonderful girl like me—a puppy who’s already crate trained and more than ready to learn everything else you can teach me, a puppy who will play well with your children, your other dog, and your cat. A new best buddy that will do anything for your love.....well, I can do that! 5 months old- 29lbs. My adoption fee is $260 and includes microchip & registration, spay, reduced-cost training class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Ingrid, a Portland German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Portland, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier puppy from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
