Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Millie is a 1-year old plott-hound mix that came to us as a stray. She was in pretty bad shape (skin and bones, elbow injury, and full of milk) when we first picked her up but she has filled out nicely. She has been restricted as to activity the last two months due to surgery on her elbow, but she has now received clearance from the surgeon. She is a sweet but highly active dog and no doubt will bond quickly with whomever adopts her. She is crate trained and almost house trained so that should not be a problem. She gets along well with the foster's other dogs, but would probably do best in a home where she is the only dog. Cats and small children are probably not the best match in a home for this lady. She knows a few commands but it would be a good idea to get her some additional training as she really is still a puppy. She would benefit greatly with a fenced yard. She likes her squeaky toys and loves to cuddle at night in the foster's lap.
We recommend and encourage you to complete an online application before coming to our next adoption event. To find out if I will be attending our next adoption event, please email dogs@henricohumane.org.
