~ ADOPTION PENDING ~

You may meet and apply to adopt Putnam at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JULY 24th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH. (Our event is held INSIDE of the PETCO store.) adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Putnam is a male Bichon Frise/Shih Tzu mix only 1 year old. He is a round and jolly little guy, weighing 15 pounds full grown. Putnam has a handsome tri-color coat of white, gray and brown. He has been professionally groomed and his curly coat is non-shedding. Putnam is young, curious and gently playful. He has a friendly, adaptable manner and is so easy to manage. He is bright and alert, picking up the ways of the household quickly and he is housebroken. Putnam is quiet, well behaved, and agreeable with pretty much anything. He is a nice mix of cute puppy playfulness and huggable ball of love. He walks nicely on leash and has good manners when out and about. You can meet people in public and never have to worry that Putnam will forget his manners. He is good with other dogs, but does not need another dog in the household to feel secure. Putnam is young, adaptable to his environment and can be that great companion dog you are looking for. He was rescued from a very high-volume/high-kill shelter where he was brought in stray and obviously neglected. What a gorgeous dog we discovered from a simple trip to the groomer and a day getting to know sweet Putnam. He's an awesome dog and an outstanding choice for a laid back, mellow pet. Putnam likes quieter environments with maybe one or two people to call his own. He bonds very loyally to his favorite person. Putnam is very healthy and ready for his new forever home today.

Putnam’s adoption donation is $425 (*TAX DEDUCTABLE). He has been NEUTERED, MICROCHIPPED, VACCINATED, DEWORMED, DEFLEAED and PROFESSIONALLY GROOMED. Also included is his collar with ID, harness, leash, folder with all of his records, a great PETCO coupon book, and a fun goodie bag with toys, etc.

Putnam is being fostered by Pet Match Rescue Foster Volunteer, Mary B. and is ready for his forever home.

You may meet and apply to adopt Putnam at our ADOPTION EVENT on SUNDAY, JULY 24th from 12 Noon - 3:00 at PETCO in NEWPORT BEACH located at 1280 Bison Ave., Newport Beach, CA 92660. adoptpetmatch@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

PUTNAM, a Newport Beach Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise for sale in Newport Beach, or seeking a Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise dog from a breeder in Newport Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Newport Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Newport Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise breeders who help with Shih Tzu/Bichon Frise rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Newport Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
