My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lady is a 2 year old boxer shepherd mix. She weighs in at about 85 pounds of love. She is fearful of other dogs and most children. She loves her foster mom and dad but when she first came to us she was scared and anxious. Now that she's developed a routine her anxiety at home is zero unless guests come over. She protects her home and her person to a fault. She's a Velcro dog as in she wants to be right beside you if you are home. Once she was accustomed to her foster home she no longer had to be crated as she doesn't get into anything and the crate made her so anxious because she couldn't escape what she may believe is a threat. She is sensitive to things changing as her anxiety peaked when some things were being packed up to move elsewhere. She loves to play fetch and give kisses and sleep with her person. She would prefer to be an only dog but with training she could be friends with a puppy or a very submissive male. If adopted locally we have a trainer locally that is willing to work with her free of charge but it will take time. When first adopted she will be anxious in a new home as she has been in foster care for months now due to her fear based behavior at times. She is comfortable in her routine and is eager to please but she is a strong and energetic young lady. If you have the time to work with her she in highly intelligent and food driven. She loves her people to the moon and back and would make an excellent companion for the right person.
