Gizmo's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Gizmo's Story...
Gizmo is a sweet male dog who is recovering from an injury to his spine and back legs when dumped at the county shelter back in December. He is a complete lover boy and lap dog! He is starting to walk on his back legs with the continued therapy he has been getting in his foster home but does slip and slide on certain surfaces. He will let you know when he needs to go out by barking, but needs assistance to take him out into the yard. He is a dog with special needs who needs a loving forever home to care for his needs

All of our adoptable rescues have a clean bill of health (unless otherwise stated), spayed/neutered, vaccinated (age-appropriately), tested (FeLV/FIV for cats, HW for dogs over 6 months of age), current on flea and heartworm prevention and microchipped. This is all included in their adoption fee that go in as a tax deductible donation to help us cover their medical costs and continue to helps other animals in need.

For more information, please fill out an application online or email us for one as well!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gizmo, a Riverview Lhasa Apso dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Lhasa Apso for sale in Riverview, or seeking a Lhasa Apso dog from a breeder in Riverview.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Riverview already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Riverview breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Lhasa Apso breeders who help with Lhasa Apso rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Riverview paves the way for another one to be saved.
