Mac's Story...
My name is Mac and I’m a 2 year old male Aussie. I was running around the streets as a stray dog. My present owner took me in off the street and tried to find my owner…but with no luck. She owns two other dogs and figured that I would be able to be a part of her family. One of her dogs and I have been having regular tiffs (he is on the small side). As sad as everyone feels, they think it would be best for me to find a forever home where I won’t have to contend with other dogs. I’m a very smart dog and extremely well behaved, and cannot wait to meet you and become part of your family.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mac, a Medford Australian Shepherd dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd for sale in Medford, or seeking a Australian Shepherd dog from a breeder in Medford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Medford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Medford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd breeders who help with Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Medford paves the way for another one to be saved.
