A little bit to help you get to know Maggie from her foster parents!!
Maggie was found walking down a backroad with her sister, both had been used for breeding and tossed out like trash when they developed easily treatable skin conditions, and were took to a local shelter. Maggie has been treated for her skin condition and all of her hair is growing back nicely and she has been cleared to find her furever home!!
Maggie is estimated to only be about 2 years old. She is the sweetest little girl ever! She hasn’t met a person she doesn’t like and will crawl into anyone’s lap! Maggie has a lot of energy when you first come home because she is excited to see you but she quickly calms down and will sit in your lap for love and even turn upside down in your lap for belly rubs and after that she will lay beside you and chew her bone. She truly is amazing if we could adopt her and still be able to foster we would! We love fostering, it’s our way of giving back so therefore this beautiful girl is available to you!
Maggie is potty trained, and crate trained but is good enough not to be as long as you can keep the trash can away from her! She loves food! She is very treat motivated so teaching her to sit was simple, teaching her new tricks will be easy. We are currently working on down, and stay. She is currently on a grain and potato free diet to keep her skin issues from reoccurring. She loves to chew on nylabones, benebones, duck feet, and marrow bones!
Maggie does well with older kids that will respect her and not pull on her ears and tail. We have a teenage son so teenagers come and go every day and she has loved them all!
Maggie has done well with every dog she has met. She currently lives with three male dogs. She also wouldn’t mind being the only one in your life and lounging on your couch all day!
We have a stray cat and they love each other but that is outside on leash. The cat rolls on the ground and Maggie sniffs her, and gives her kisses. The cat gives Maggie kisses too! The cat corrected her the other day and she didn’t back away but she didn’t go after the cat either. I think with a slow intro cats will be ok!
Other fun facts about Maggie!! She burps like a man!! She snorts like a piggie!! She also makes the cute gremlin noises!!
