My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Soxie is a 4-6 year old Chihuahua looking for a home that fits her best.

Soxie was picked up by animal control officers in the middle of the road after someone had dumped her in tn.

The ideal home for soxie would be a quiet country home no city life for this girl as loud trucks and engines scare her. Soxie will take time to adjust to a new home but when she does she will be your shadow forever. If you are a single mid age gal that needs a companion then soxie could be the right fit for you. I call soxie the cat dog because when she wants attention she is all over you but when she wants to be left alone she will squeal and run from you. She has really bonded with my mother who currently lives with us and has been bonded with her so we feel the best home would be something that duplicates my mothers style. soxie is house trained, and pad trained and loves to go for rides. she does well on and off leash. She has a hard time adjusting to strangers so if she doesnt want anything to do with you at first give her time. She needs a patient adopter that will be understanding to her. Soxie is not an excessive barker but will bark when people pull in the driveway or knock at the door, or if something goes bump in the night. She prefers to sleep with her human once she adjusts. Soxie loves her chewies and treats, she prefers bland diets over dry dog food but will eat wet as well, but watch out if you have a cat cause she likes to snack on the cat food.
Soxie is a humper so she has a big stuffed animal that she loves to play with and its actually quite comical, we never see females hump stuffed animals so it was a surprise at first.

If you think this girl would make a perfect companion please apply on our website www.mainelydogrescue.com

adoption fees include yearly vaccinations, spay, 4dx test, deworming, fecal, bordetella, prevention, and of course her stuffed animals.
