Hi. My name is Buddy. I'm about 3 years old and I weigh about 55 lbs.
I was surrendered to the pound by someone who had adopted me from another shelter about 3 hours away. The other shelter said that I didn't need to be returned to them since the lady couldn't handle me and said for her to surrender me to her local shelter.
The lady had no knowledge on herding breeds or their behavior and she said I scared her.
Since arriving at the pound, I have been nothing but nice to the shelter workers and volunteers, but I do not show well in my kennel (I have some kennel stress and I act aggressive in my kennel towards strangers). I have no bite history and I do excellent with the other dogs I have been around here at the Pound.
The Pound is looking to place me in a RESCUE ONLY. They want me to be properly evaluated by a rescue savvy with my breed mix and place me in an appropriate, herder savvy home.
Please consider helping me.
My pull fees are FULLY SPONSORED for any approved rescue to pull me. I am neutered and UTD on vaccines and dewoming.
I appear to be in good health. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer.
PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. THIS DOG COULD BE EUTHANIZED WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE ANY TIME AFTER FEBRUARY 17, 2016.
HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS.
THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
