Tixta (Guest)'s Story...
We are helping Tixta find a new home.

Tixta is a friendly, obedient dog, according to his owner. He is a black and tan male GSD, about 18 months old. His owner took him in after finding him on a busy street, but can no longer keep him because he is dominant to the other dogs in her pack, who are older and not as active as Tixta. She can keep him until a new home is found.

Tixta loves people and gets along with kids. He also gets along with cats and farm animals, he is living with them. Tixta would do best as an only dog, since he is dominant, but could do well with a submissive dog his own age and size. He will need a home that has had experience with GSDs or is a strong leader, to give him structure, due to his dominance.

He is in good health and up to date on vet care; his owner can provide vet records. He has been neutered.

Tixta will need lots of regular exercise since he's still young. He is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on a leash, and knows basic commands.

If you'd like to meet Txita, please contact his owner directly at

GSDRGA has not met Tixta, he is not our foster dog. We are guest listing him. Please contact his owner to ask questions, or set up a meeting.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tixta (Guest), a Roswell German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Roswell, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Roswell.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Roswell already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Roswell breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Roswell paves the way for another one to be saved.
