Pepper's Story...
Hi, my name is Pepper and I’m almost 2 years old. I’m told I’m a lab/border collie cross and I think that’s great, don’t you? I love to go on walks and to play fetch. I’m crate trained and I’ve learned some tricks. My foster mom says that I’m great with hand commands and I’m good with older kids and cats.
My foster mom says that I’m still very much a puppy. I love to play and sometimes I get over-excited, but my foster family is working on teaching me good self-control. I also love to cuddle. I think cuddling is great, don’t you?

I have some allergies but my foster mom says that they are manageable with the proper diet.

I have lots of love to give and I would really like to find my forever home. I would love to meet you, if you are interested in meeting me.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pepper, a Saskatoon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
