Here's what the humans have to say about me:
To MEET Shaggy - fill out an application. Cut and paste this link into your web browser: www.welcomehomedogrescue.org/adoption/application-to-adopt-a-companion/
Weight: 10 lbs
Age: 1-2 years
Personality: Shaggy is a wonderful, affectionate, playful and sweet boy. He was very shut down and shy when he was first rescued, but his personality has blossomed in the loving care of his foster mom.
Coat: Short, soft coat trimmed into a puppy cut style. His coat will continue to grow longer and will require regular bathing and occasional professional grooming.
Training: Knows sit.
Potty trained: Yes
Health: Excellent, no known health problems. Was examined by the vet for heart, knee and hip problems, with no issues found.
History: Shaggy was abandoned in an apartment complex by his family in late November 2015. Luckily a neighbor took him into their home and kept him safe. He was so afraid and shut down that he sat huddled in the corner for a week! He slowly came out of his shell and became a very friendly, affectionate dog. The family who saved him can no longer keep him since they're away from the house for 14 hours at a time. They love him and wanted a better life for him. He deserves a home with people who have time to care for a loving little dog.
Fostered in: Chino Hills with 2 dogs and several cats
Type of home: Shaggy loves to play with other dogs! He's also very good with children, but he is a little noise sensitive. He would make a wonderful companion for either a single person or family who wants to spend time with their furry family member.
Crate trained: Yes
Good with Dogs: Yes
Good with Kids: Yes
Good with Cats: Yes
Adoption fee (non-refundable): $300
All dogs are fully vetted, microchipped, and up to date with vaccinations. Shaggy will be getting neutered in a week or two.
