My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Do you ever look at a dog and think “you’re so ugly, you’re cute”? Do you think cuteness is more about personality than looks? We do both of these things and think that Rocky is about as cute as they come.

Rocky is a 3 year old Brussels Griffon mix and is just the most affectionate, people-loving dog you will meet. He also has that classic Brussels Griffon underbite and Pug-nose that give him his unique appearance. Rocky follows his foster-mom everywhere and loves to be in the middle of family business; human family or dog family business. Rocky hasn’t had an issue with his human or canine packmates, but he does become a little obsessive over one of our females, to which she takes exception. Rocky has only been neutered very recently so he’s of little danger to the lady dogs of the house though.

Rocky was an owner surrender and the little guy was very skinny when we picked him up. We’re not sure if being starved is why Rocky vacuums his food like a hoover but he definitely needs to slow down when he eats. We would recommend a slow-feeder bowl to help Rocky digest his food more thoroughly. He drinks water voraciously too, so we limit Rocky’s access to water so he doesn’t need to go out every 2 hours. We are working on fattening him up, and based on how he pigs out at meal-time and on our previous body of work, gaining weight isn’t going to be an issue in this house!

Rocky appears to be potty trained and likes going outside. Actually, Rocky pretty much likes everything; people, dogs, playtime, snuggle-time, meal-time, and any other time we can give him. The only thing he doesn’t like is being in his crate. Rocky will bark and cry for a few minutes when we initially put him in his crate and leave the room. However he does calm down quickly and sleeps soundly through the night. It is readily apparent that Rocky is a real socialite and prefers to be with his family whenever possible. When in your lap, little Rocky flips on his back for a belly rub and goes fast asleep.

Rocky is ready to rock some new digs so maybe you want to let him rock out at your house!
