Grace, Brandy and Coco's Story...
Grace says:"We are looking for a barn or garage home where the three of us can be together. I'm very friendly and love people, but Brandy, who is my best friend, is shy and prefers cats to people. Coco is feral. If you're looking for a few working cats to keep your barn or garage rodent-free, please consider us. We're eager to work in exchange for at least one meal a day and a few kind words.

"The Howard County Cat Club will deliver us to a suitable home anywhere with a day's round trip drive of the Baltimore/Washington area and will provide relocation equipment if you need it."

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Grace, Brandy and Coco, a Columbia Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Columbia, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Columbia.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbia already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbia breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbia paves the way for another one to be saved.
