This dog is being fostered in Dallas TX and must be adopted within the Dallas, North Central Texas or the southern Oklahoma area.

Meet Precious. This little girl's name fits her to a tee! She is an incredibly sweet and affectionate little girl. This adorable girl is looking for a forever home, and we know there is the perfect family out there ready for her!
Precious is very people-focused and is like Velcro to her foster mom. She wants to be as close to her people as possible and loves human interaction. She loves to be picked up and held and wants to be close to you as much as possible. If you are sitting down to relax or watch TV, she'll be right there with you! She likes to follow you around the house too - once her foster mom was doing laundry and Precious had gone to sleep in a pile of laundry on the floor! If you let her, she would really love to sleep in your bed and loves to burrow under the covers.
Precious is a great "watch dog"! She will bark at strangers that come to her foster home, to alert you that something or someone is near your home. But once a new human comes inside and she knows they are ok, she warms up to them in about 10 minutes!
Precious gets along fine with the other small dogs in her foster home, but she really wants to focus on her people! She has not really shown an interest in toys or "playing" with her foster sister, but she happily co-exists with her. She is very amiable to other animals and has never shown any hostility, even when they accidentally step on her in the bed or try to steal her food! She loves to hang out in the backyard with her siblings and lie in the sun when the weather is nice.
Because Precious is so human-focused, she would do great in a home where she is an only dog or where she can bond with one special person if there are other dogs in the home. She would love to go to a home where the people are not away at work all day and she is left alone for long periods of time. So if you work at home or are retired, that would be great! When her foster mom leaves, she doesn't need to be crated, but she does fine in her crate too when you leave. She is always very excited when you come back home!
Precious loves her peanut butter stuffed Kong, and will come with a Kong when she is adopted. She will also come with several favorite outfits! Since she is a short haired Chihuahua, her foster mom keeps her in a sweater or tank top when the weather is cool. Her favorite food is Core Wellness. Precious is a little girl who loves to be spoiled but will give you so much love in return.
Precious is very smart. She is potty trained and crate trained. She is about 2-3 years old and about 6 pounds of pure love. Precious was pulled from a backyard breeding situation in a rural area, so she has had several litters of pups. But she is now spayed and ready for her new life!
