Sadly, no one was looking for this gorgeous boy when he was found as a stray outside of the Burger King at the Ferry Landing. Not only was he lost or abandoned, he had gotten himself into some serious trouble by stepping into a corrosive substance leaving chemical burns on the pads of his feet.
King has recovered very nicely and his feet are healed and he is feeling so much better with all of the TLC (and medical care) he has received from staff and volunteers. All of us are getting the joy of discovering what a special boy he is. King is very affectionate and likes to socialize with visitors to his cat community room. He will seek you out just to be near you and he thinks that pets are pretty awesome.
He is now showing signs of a playful side, going after the laser light and the red string all of the cats are so fond of chasing.
King loves his feline buddies at the shelter Inga and Leo and we see that he would do best in a home with a feline companion that would be a good match for him.

You can meet King at the Coronado Animal Care Facility. The facility is open daily between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm (except major holidays). It is located at 1395 First Street at the south end of the Ferry Landing complex.
If you are interested in adopting King, you must first complete a Cat Adoption Application and meet with a PAWS of Coronado Cat Adoption Counselor. Cat adoption applications are available at the facility or Cat Adoption Applications may be completed online.
