Mitzi's Story...
Mitzi is an 18 month old tan Chihuahua mix who weighs 17 lbs. She was brought to the shelter as a stray with her puppy. She has wiry, curly hair on her spine and tail and is completely adorable. Mitzi is very good natured, sweet and loving. She cries a little when crated but quickly calms herself. She is housetrained and is good on the leash. She is submissive to other dogs She’s confident and unafraid and is great on walks. She even does great on meeting unfamiliar dogs and strangers for the first time. She is an affectionate, cuddly, quiet, happy little girl who is easy going and an absolute joy to have around the house. We think she'd be good with kids, too. We are busy finding a loving home for her baby and Mitzi deserves her day in the sun too. Mitzi is so smart, curious and happy. She will make a wonderful companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mitzi, a Encino Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Encino, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
