My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Herman is a 9-year-old harlequin Great Dane. He was turned in to the Hood Co. Animal Control by his family, because he got into a fight with their other large male dog. No surprises they got into a fight, because neither one was neutered.

Herman was devastated while at the shelter and he didn't understand why he was locked up away from his people. He is now in a foster home in Austin awaiting a new permanent home. His foster cant say enough good things about him.

Herman is a really big boy. He will probably be 160 when he gains his weight back. He is very sweet with people and very laid back. Well trained. Not neutered yet, but will be soon.

Herman needs a new loving home. To be safe, we won't send him to a home with other large male dogs, but he is OK with female dogs, small dogs and even cats.

If you have room in your home for a very sweet handsome giant dog, please fill out the adoption application on our website.
