***Long Term Resident! Adoption Fee WAIVED!!!***

Hi! My name is Rocco! I am a 5-6 year old neutered male Black Lab that sadly was being listed on craigslist just prior to Christmas with threats that my owner would shoot me if no one took me in. I'm certainly not perfect but I do love my people and want to make them happy!

Rocco is good with men and women and friendly with people but we have not had him around children. He is good with cats but might be the best as the only dog. He can be a guarder with his food and toys so we could see this being a problem with other dogs. He is fostered with other dogs BUT he is separated from them. He can sniff them through their crates and doesn't react but gets pretty intense when he sees other dogs out on leash. Rocco struggled with crate training at first but now with a larger crate he goes right in for his meals. We always feed him in the crate when we lock him in. Rocco is overweight though so portion control is important. He also loves walks, playing with toys and cuddling with his foster mom and dad.

Rocco's adoption fee is $225 which includes his neuter, shots, microchip and a private training session with the Director. To apply for Rocco please go to www.savemescout.wix.com/savemescoutrescue and fill out our Adoption Application and send to adoptions.savemescout@gmail.com

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocco, a Loveland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Loveland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Loveland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Loveland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Loveland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Loveland paves the way for another one to be saved.
