Popcorn!'s Story...

This absolutely adorable bundle of energy wants to be everyone's friend! Popcorn is a rare orange female with that perfectly sweet kitten face and little brown eyes you just can't say no to.  She is so playful and 'pops' around the room playing with her toys and her friends. She's so happy and always purring.  She entertains all day at our adoption events, showing off her 'ball-swatting' skills for every passer-by.  And when she's getting sleepy, Popcorn will curl up in your lap and make you fall in love with her all over again.

Popcorn must be adopted into a home with another young, playful kitty...we would love to see her adopted along with one of our other sweet adoptable kittens. Please check them out online or come meet them at Petco located at 92nd & Broadway in Manhattan on Saturday from 2-6pm.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Popcorn!, a New York Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in New York, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
