My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everybody! My name is Harvey. My friends here at the rescue think that I am probably some sort of Sheltie mix. I've heard that you can run a DNA test to find out for sure, but as of now, it's just an educated guess.

I'm most likely around 7 years of age. I came into a local high-kill shelter as a stray so unfortunately my history is completely unknown. Such a bummer, right? I wish I could tell you all about my past and the things that I've been through. I guess we'll just have to focus on the future.

What my friends do know is that I am a super happy, sweet guy. My tail is always wagging! I know you've probably read that in other dogs' bios, but I'm not joking. I am the most joyful dog you will ever meet! I can't even describe to you how ecstatic I get when I see all my human friends. I just love them!

I'm already neutered, microchipped, and all my vaccines are up-to-date. I weigh about 30 pounds, but I could probably stand to lose a pound or two. I'm a little on the round side. I think with enough exercise, I'll be right where I am supposed to be.

Remember how I said that I came into a local shelter as a stray? You should have seen me. I was a mess! I had a severe eye infection that affected both my eyes. I had a bilateral ear infection, and my coat was dirty and matted. I was a sad sight to see. You can probably see the aftermath of the eye infection in my photos. At this point in time, my friends are not sure if the hair will grow back around my eyes, but I am supposed to see my doctor for a recheck really soon. We should know more after that. Either way, it doesn't affect my personality at all. I'm still just a happy-go-lucky boy with a great big smile on my face.

I'm looking for a family that will love and care for me unconditionally. I definitely deserve the very best! If you think that I would make a great addition to your family, please don't hesitate to contact CageFree to schedule a time to come meet me!
