Lucas's Story...

Lucas is a “Velcro” dog!  He will follow you from room to room and crawl into your lap for hugs and kisses.  He doesn’t know that his legs are too long to be a lap dog!  He just folds them up and snuggles.Being an adult he is past all the mischievous behavior that has to be trained from puppies.  He is a great house dog and companion; intelligent, very well behaved and doesn’t chew anything.  Calm, quiet and sweet natured with his bob-tail wagging constantly.  He gets along great with all the other dogs in his foster home and likes to play with them outside but is always eager to come back inside to be with his human companion. Lucas is housetrained, walks well on his leash, is cat friendly and LOVES to go for rides in the car.

Lucas has been neutered, micro-chipped and is on heart worm preventative. He is up to date on all vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lucas, a Grand Saline Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Grand Saline, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Grand Saline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Saline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Saline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Saline paves the way for another one to be saved.
