Jack's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jack's Story...

Jack is shy at first.  Then he becomes a welcome addition to the home.  He needs to go to a home with no small children.  Older (13 and above) calm children should be ok.  He likes to play with other small dogs.  We are unsure about cats.  He was newspaper trained before rescue and his housetraining is underway. Be careful not to drop yours before reading.

He will nibble on fingers if given the chance.  He is not trying to bite, just play.

Jack has been neutered, micro-chipped and is on heart worm preventative. He is up to date on all vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jack, a Grand Saline Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shih Tzu for sale in Grand Saline, or seeking a Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Grand Saline.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Grand Saline already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Grand Saline breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shih Tzu breeders who help with Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Grand Saline paves the way for another one to be saved.
