Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pepper is a 2 year old black and white Chihuahua/Basenji who weighs 9 lbs. He is happy and wiggly with women. When he first came to us, he was a little leery of men but he is gaining in confidence and is much better around them although still shy. He is high energy, but can also be gentle and a lap dog who loves nothing better than to hug and kiss his people. He is confident on the leash and good with other dogs but he really prefers to be around people. He can get a little dominant when playing so does best with submissive dogs. He is crate trained and housetrained. Pepper is not happy about being left at home during the day in his crate and may bark. He needs a firm hand, basic obedience training and would do best with an active owner who can give him plenty of attention and exercise. We do not recommend a home with small children. He has also snapped out of fear with certain strangers. He knows SIT, PAW and STAY. Pepper is curious when out on his walks, doesn't bother other people or dogs and he loves his toys! He needs to work on jumping up and being a little mouthy when he's excited. He is an all around gentle, playful boy who is a joy to be around.
